WHAT IS CONVIVIO U.?

Convivio U. is an intensive institute of writing instruction, hands-on workshops, lectures, cultural tours, and more in Umbria, Italy.

 

Open to ambitious undergraduate and graduate writing students, Convivio U. provides world-class instruction in a culturally rich locale that feeds the mind, the imagination, and the hunger for new experience.

 

Students will engage in focused seminars, workshops, readings, revising sessions, and one-on-one conferences with faculty, in addition to cultural and arts programming and excursions to historically rich sites such as Spoleto, Assisi, and Montefalco.

 

The cost for the program is $3,995 and includes, food, lodging and transportation from the Rome international airport. Students must secure their own air travel. could return to the US after the conference or travel on their own afterward.

 

All Convivio U. apartments are recently renovated spaces in the medieval hamlet of Castello di Postignano. Meals during Convivio U. are provided by La Casa Rosa, an onsite restaurant specializing in Umbrian delicacies. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included. Enjoy only the freshest regional specialties, prepared by a Michelin-star chef, and served by a staff that will show you the hospitality of a genuine Italian experience.

 

Convivio also offers a range of additional cultural activities including shopping excursions, e-bike tours, and nature hikes. You may simply choose, however, to relax by the swimming pool.
